When Mallika Sherawat was in Chennai to shot for Mani Ratnam’s ‘Guru’, she called Kamal Haasan to play any role in his film. Kamal was pleasantly surprised by her enthusiasm. “She called to take an appointment. Initially, I begged off saying I was writing my film and didn’t go to office nowadays. She floored me by replying, ‘Just give me five minutes anywhere.’ We met and I found her clued-in and very relaxed,” offers Kamal. Mallika’s is cast as a character who helps one of antagonists in his new Tamil film ‘Dasavatharam’.
