Director Yograj Bhat, who directed two box-office hits, Mungaru Male and Gaalipata, will direct this film. Actor Puneeth Rajkumar will be the male lead. Trisha has accepted this role because she liked the script which gives her ample scope to conquer Karnataka, the land of sandalwood.

Shooting of the film will take place in New Zealand.
